“Framed”

The framing company John Jones have paired with designer Stuart Haygarth to create this extraordinary showstopper. A conceptual piece,”Framed” features “over 600 meters of frame profiles – hundreds of individual pieces, cut, mitred, joined, sanded and coloured in special finishes – including gold leaf.”

“Thin Black Lines”

Depending on the angle from which it’s viewed, the Thin Black Lines chair by Nendo switches seamlessly from two-dimensional to three-dimensional in appearance. Oki Sato, Nendo’s founder, who likens the designs to Japanese calligraphy, says that they “move alternately between the becoming and collapse of form.”
